Spencer Chinery, President/CFO Consultant

Providing financial leadership, clarity and efficiency for our clients.

Spencer Chinery was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee and lives there currently with his wife and their two children. He attended The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) receiving an undergraduate Business degree with concentrations in Finance and Economics and later his MBA in 1998 while working as a Financial Analyst for CBL & Associates, a real estate investment trust listed on the NYSE.  Spencer has worked in the field of finance and systems for over 20 years.  Most recently prior to joining Lighthouse Spencer served as the CFO for The Hutton Company in Chattanooga, Tennessee a real estate development, construction and property management company with projects across the US.  Prior to Hutton Spencer worked as CFO and in other financial capacities in retail, food service, accounting and technology companies including 5 years as the CFO for Greenlife Grocery a Chattanooga based natural and organic food retailer acquired by Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ) in 2010.  When not working with our clients Spencer spends his time with family and in the outdoors whenever possible.

Marissa Corbitt, CPA, Controller Consultant

Marissa Corbitt joins Lighthouse CFO Group after practicing auditing, accounting and financial reporting across various industries and businesses in Chattanooga. Marissa has a passion for understanding different businesses and improving processes and procedures. Being inquisitive and detail-oriented, she works to understand what would make a business healthy and successful. Marissa began her career in public accounting at Decosimo, a regional public accounting firm based in Chattanooga. From there, she worked at both privately held and publically traded manufacturing entities as an Accounting Manager and a Senior Accountant. Marissa has experience in internal controls documentation, cash flow management, month-end reporting, and financial statement preparation.  Outside the office Marissa is also a Hamilton County Master Gardener who enjoys flower and garden design as well as sharing the benefits of using native plants in landscaping. She is currently working on a native plant garden at the Brainerd Mission Cemetery. She also enjoys kayaking the Hiwassee, hiking and triathlons. 

Miles Dexter, Senior real estate accountant

Miles Dexter is a Chattanooga native and has worked with Lighthouse CFO Group since February 2020. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in December of 2021. He is licensed as a Certified Management Accountant and is currently working towards earning the CPA as well. In his free time, Miles enjoys spending time outdoors with his dog and friends, making music, and working on his 1980’s Volvo 240.

Katie Haworth, Human Resources/Payroll Manager

Katie serves as Lighthouse CFO's Human Resource and Payroll Manager.  Previously, she worked as a clinic director in the health industry for eight years and gained valuable human resource management experience and healthcare knowledge. Katie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. In her free time, she enjoys yoga and traveling to new places. 

Trinity Ezell, Accounting AnalYst

Trinity Ezell graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with her bachelor’s degree in finance.  Trinity has been with Lighthouse CFO Group full time since graduating in May 2022. Her role is primarily involved in healthcare accounting. Before joining full time, Trinity worked for Lighthouse as an intern her senior year of college. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. 

Jackson Howard, Accounting intern

Jackson Howard was born and raised in Harrison, TN and is Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). He has been with Lighthouse as an Accounting Clerk since April 2022. Jackson is analytical, and always seeks to gain a deeper understanding for the processes he is engaged in through problem solving and research. He is also involved with clubs on campus including the UTC SMILE Fund, a student lead investment trust with $750,000 in assets, where he serves on the executive team as the Vice President of Risk Management. When not at work or class Jackson can be found enjoying the outdoors or at one of the many local golf courses.
